I have never played that stupid voting game between tweedledumb and tweedledumber, the selections of 2000 and 2004 have only proven my point that voting is a game to make the masses "think" they have a say and to placate them. I am NOT placated, and yes I am complaining. Voting only gives us the right to be called on a jury, which by the way is MANDATORY and judge a fellow human being on evidence that is often already decided. Thats it. I have the right to decide NOT to play the game. If I do not have the right to opt out, then don't talk about "rights"

I always vote in all elections that im able to. And local and state elections are more important actually but people largely ignore them. Your national leaders are farmed up through the state systems quite often, if you got in good people on local and state levels we wouldnt have so many bad ones on the national level.

yes. any self respecting American should (but probably wont because "their vote doesn't count" or "they didn't like any of the candidates." or whatever their excuse is)

Edit: i will probably get voted down for this but so be it:

Any American that is able to vote and doesn't, in my opinion, is not an American, especially women. Woman fought for decades to get the right to vote and now that we have it many don't use it. it makes me very angry when people who don't vote think they have the right to gripe about who got voted into office. whenever someone who wants to debate with me about people in office i ask if they have voted and if they haven't then i tell them that don't have the right to gripe because they didn't do anything to keep that person from getting into office.

so if you think your vote wont count or doesn't matter. think of it this way: if you vote, then you get the right to gripe :)

i'm more likely to get struck by lightning on my way to vote than i am to impact the election.

since i take no pleasure in voting, i see no reason why i should.
