having your hymen broken isn't special at all (figures that a man would call it a "special event" : what does he know about having your hymen broken if he's never had a hymen!) and it is not a gift! (giving a man your virginity is a gift, your hymen doesn't equal your virginity) - it sucks because it hurts and it's hard to break and there's blood everywhere, my fiance got scared because of the amount of blood and stopped intercourse when I lost my virginity-he cried and I had to assure him that blood was normal!
...some women are born with out hymens...does that mean they were born never a virgin? NO!!...having a hymen doesn't make you a virgin and having your hymen broken doesn't make you not a virgin!!
...I was raped when I was 16 and my hymen didn't break (and being raped doesn't make you not a virgin either because rape is a violent attack-not a sexual experience, most rapists don't even consider it sex : just a way to assert control)...years later I decided to have sex with my fiance...he was the one who broke my hymen...and even though he is well-endowed it was still a difficult task because it just didn't want to break!

having a hymen doesn't make you a virgin...many women are born without hymens who are virgins at birth....and having your hymen broken doesn't mean you lose your virginity...virginity can only be lost through direct intercourse i.e. penis entering vaginal or anal cavity...even oral sex isn't considered a way of losing your virginity....that was a decision made in court! (bill clinton / monica / trial-if you remember?)...if you would like to have your hymen broken by all means go ahead, but it won't make you any less of a virgin...
it might make your first time having sex more enjoyable because you won't have to go through the pain of having your hymen broken during intercourse or the awkwardness of being in a puddle of blood while loosing your virginity...
although, fair warning, your hymen is difficult to break : I've been fingered more times than I can count, wore tampons for years, raped by a man's penis, and had two papsmears and my hymen never broke until I had sex the first time and lost my virginity...
my best friend's mom, on the other hand, says she broke her hymen while riding a bike and I have heard of hymens breaking while being fingered...I'm just saying that it might be a difficult task to accomplish for your b/f...

you make the decision that is right for you and never mind what these closeminded @$$-holes say...

Without a hymen any guy you marry will think you had sex even if you didn't. It's not a good idea. It will hurt and likely your bf is a clumsy bafoon who has no idea what he is doing.

Technically you'd be a virgin, but you'd never be able to convince anyone including a doctor.

No, your hymen could be broken by exercise or something else? but u r still a virgin until u hav sex.....its not a bad idea if that's what u want to do? if u think u r ready then go for it, if ur not then wait...... either way is ok x

Your sure a freaky one ... Well no your virginity can't be lost in that manner. Must be broken by a mans penis if you look in the bible it tells you that you must be touched by a man ... meaning with his penis of course.

And why have you guys decided to do that tho ..... One kinky couple.

If it is right ... Me personally would not engage in such a act, respect for self is particularly my body. As a female i am very skeptical when it comes on to my body , I would not do it, However doing that with his fingers will not break your virginity

generally the hymen is the sign of virginity, once its gone ur virginity is gone. but it can differentiate between different people. some people believe that any sexual contact is considered losing ur virginity. the way i see it is once its gone, ur no longer a virgin. but since he's doing it with his finger, you would consider urself a virgin cuz he didnt do it when his penis. but theres another factor, the hymen could be deeper inside the vagina and can only be reached with a penis. mine was.

No, you will still be a virgin until you have sex. I lost my hymen because of a tampon, but I was very much still a virgin. It's up to you if you want him to break your hymen, no real reason to have it, no real reason not to have it. It really is up to you.

Yes, it's a bad idea. One doesn't have to have penetration to be engaging in premarital sex. It can go too far, he can have a little semen on his fingers and impregnate you, etc. Yes, your virginity would be gone. You will no longer be pure, and will wish you would have waited until your wedding night. Pay CLOSE attention to that last sentence.

No, it's not connected necessarily.

If your hymen is broken by a penis, that's a pretty sure sign of the end of virginity.

No it doesnt mean that your virginty will be gone. Girls can lose that tissue just doing everyday things like excersising. Useally ur a virgin untill you have penatration with a well ya know what I mean. If u use fingers its fourflay not sex. So ya may not have that tissue at all.

This is a bad idea. I don't know why he would want to this other than to then talk you into sex since he already broke it. It sounds like a ploy to me. Also, then you will have saved your virginity. And the person you lose it with will ask why it's already broken. Don't do it.
