I think its a horrible thing!
Of course those last a long time--the cultures that allow arranged marriages also forbid DIVORCE!

Yes, I had a boss from India who's was. Luckily he and his wife ended up loving each other! They both disagree with the tradition. They are in their 40's now and were married as teens.
