Al2S3

Aluminium, in its ion form has a 3+ charge (Al 3+). The sulfide ion has a 2- charge (S2-). Using the criss-cross method (flipping charges and reducing) gives you Al2S3.

The isn't quite correct. the ratio of Al to S is correct (i.e 2 Al for each 3 S) however this is an ionic compound not a covalent one.
