I have 3 silver tip tetras and 2 of them seem to have big bellies and everything else is fine: eating, color, fins, swimming, breathing.

Every spcies is different, best to get a good book on that species and look for pics. Otherwise, try an online grp that specializes in that species.

Tetras don't get pregnant,they are egglayers, and if the third fish is a male they will probably spawn and eat the eggs before you realize it's happened. I think they are "egg scatterers" and it happens all the time.

Silver top tetras are dont give birth to live young, they are egg scaterers so they wil probibly be full of eggs,

If you put it up to the light, sometimes you will see eggs or feel their stomach (VERY gently though) you will be able to feel the eggs.

i think u shud giv them a while and see what happens. normally they stop eating before giving birth/layin eggs
