You have to use high speed, 400 or above, I think I used to use 400 for photos of sporting events like basketball, but for what your needing it maybe 800 would be better. Try the website which breaks down each speed for you and advises how to figure it out for yourself.

Depends on the weather. If it's sunny you might get away with iso 400. If it's dull however you'll probably need iso 800 or 1600. Colour negative film is pretty useful though. You can under or over expose a fair bit (around 2 stops either way) and get a good result. As someone said, go for shutter priority mode, it'll be a bit more consistent that way. Pan too, don't forget panning. At the speeds F1 cars travel it will either make or break your pics.
Forget what the ear plugs person said. Sure, it's noisy as hell (almost painful if you're in the covered grandstand, I'll never forget it) but the noise they make is so awesome you won't want to debase it in anyway.

I haven't used a SLR for about 2 years, but recall that Fuji had the best ASA 400 on the market at the time.
It was a great all round film that could be used in most situations and had the advantage of being able to be pushed a couple of stops.
You're probably almost there now, so enjoy it anyways.

Use a high speed film, ASA 1000 preferably, or the fastest you can get. You will probably need to buy it at a photo specialty store, not at a supermarket. Also consider a UV filter.

That depends on what f number your lens has. Looking at the weather forecast, I would suggest ASA 400, with shutter priority and, if your camera supports it, auto shoot off 3 frames at a time. Take more film with you than you would ever imagine you would need.

If you can shoot at 1000 or above do so.

Depends on where you're sitting, if you're back in the stands you'll only need fast film if you've got one almighty zoom lens.

Whatever happens, wear ear-plugs. You'll thank me for this advice.
