Don't people teach their kids about their own bodies anymore! Don't worry! This is normal. After your period, you will notice a little bit of this natural lubrication. These body parts have to stay lubricated. As the lubrication goes down the vagina it cleans out any bacteria, etc. that shouldn't be in there. Then two weeks after your period, you will notice that it gets a little heavier, and more slimey or gooey. This is because your are ovulating and the vagina and cervix need to be well lubricated in case some sperm should happen to come into contact with you. They need the lube to swim in, as it make it easier for them to get to the egg. Then after you ovulate until you get your period, your natural lube gets a little thinner and less apparent. It is just how the cycle goes. It's normal, and you need it. Don't worry.

I'm about 98% certain that it is normal vaginal discharge. This is there to help keep the pH in the vagina neutral, as well as to cleanse the vagina.

As long as you don't have itching, burning, copious amounts of clumpy discharge, and it isn't odd colored or have an offensive odor you're fine. However, if it would make you feel better, certainly make an appointment with your doctor or mention it at your next visit.

It's normal vaginal secretions/discharge, nothing to worry about. Most of us have it.
