For instance, all of the energy being burned by all of the electronic devices like video displays, lights, musical instruments, and so on.....Plus what about the tons of garbage being generated by all of those people at the concert? All of the plastic bottles, cups, wrist bands, and so forth. Plus, what are they going to do with all of the tires they used for the background? What about the paint they used on the tires....even if they recycled the tires, wouldn't the paint harm the enviroment? Am I the only one out there that thinks this is rediculous?

Where is all of this money going to go anyways? Al Gore's pocket? Is this his payback for losing the election?

You're quite right Ruby. All the extra transportation necessary for these people to get together would surprise us, I'm sure. Some bands require 6 buses to move them to the concert site, plus Al Gore's private jet. Don't tell Al you heard it from me. Remember, you are an American, and EVERYTHING is your fault!

rankings for Al Gore's stay Earth concert activities are coming in and that they don't seem to be good. On NBC it did worse than wide-spread programming for that slot, which contains repeats and NHL hockey, and finished in final place. in the united kingdom, in basic terms 2 million watched, as antagonistic to 10 million for the stay 8 concert activities. possibly human beings have been in basic terms exterior playing the gorgeous, particularly cooler than straightforward temperatures over the weekend. Or, greater probably, each and every person is beginning as much as renowned the hypocrisy of environmentalists putting on an adventure like this, that makes use of up greater means than some finished international places use. - G.B.

No you're right. I can understand someone being passionate about a cause, but you have to go about it the right way. And this is not the right way. If you are going to fight for something, advocate for something you have to live the way you want things to be. You have to set the example. Al Gore spews on about the environment and believe it or not he has a really environmentally unfriendly house.

The bigger thing about what they are overlooking is that no one can change the climate. If we are indeed facing a warming trend, which it seems we are, we can't stop it. So instead of spending money on concerts and padding the pockets of politicians (like Gore) we need to spend money on ways to handle to problems future generations are going to face.

The money is going into the concert promoter's pockets, the musician's pockets, advertiser's pockets, vendor's pockets, just about any pocket that doesn't need it.

By the standards you are imposing, all surgeons are hypocrites because they cut people and cause pain in order to do their healing. Likewise, any campaign to clean up municipal waste that involve printed material would be hypocritical because some of the printed material would be improperly disposed of.

How's this for recycling:

"Methinks the lady doth protest too much."

You're right.
Why don't they just make an album and donate the proceeds?
It's just publicity for band and singers--getting on the bandwagon, imao.
No one does charity for love these days.
