My niece's fish has a horrible disease and I want it to put it out of it's misery- no cutting or stabbing cause she's just a child! please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You should first attempt to tret the fish. If you don't actually know what's wrong with it, post the symptoms here and we can help you figure out what is wrong and how best to treat it. Like other posts, exhaust all other options before euthanizing.
For years, I've used this method, which is kind of a combination of other suggestions:
First, use clove oil and water to put the fish to sleep. Be sure to catch the fish, place in a container with water a some drops of the oil.
Then, add a clear grain alcohol (gin, vodka) to kill the fish.
Please don't try to save time by mixing the clove oil and gin together; it's stressful on the fish.

My first question is what on earth does he have that cannot be cured?
If you feel he is beyond help, 1/4 cup vodka and 3/4 up water. Place your fish in the mix and by the 1st breath he will be drunk and the 3 dead. This is the most humane way of putting your fish down.

Drop in a few tablets of Alka-Seltzer. Get Extra Strength.
Works fast, and the asprin dulls any pain.
Use 4 tablets per gallon of water.
Don't let the kid watch.
Freezing is inhumane. I've had fish survive the agony of freezing solid. Then having to be frozen again. Plus the agony of whatever disease is killing them.
Flushing live fish is also inhumane!
They either burn to death (slowly) in the chemicals, or they suffocate slowly in the pipes.
Letting it go in the wild is spreading whatever disease he has to the wild fish population.
PLEASE DON'T DO THAT!!!
Killing sick animals is not like killing sick people. Animals don't understand illness, people understand that there will be good days and bad days and that someday everything will be better. Animals only know that they're in pain.
Quickly cutting off the fish's head is actually the most humane way to kill him. It's quick and clean. But yucky, I've never been able to do it.

The most humane way to kill the fish if its beyond help is to use clove oil it will put the fish to sleep and then you can freeze it to make sure its dead.Definitely don't release it to the wild or put it in a blender,that has got to be the craziest way I have ever heard to kill a fish..

You can cure almost any diesese they sell medcine for everything also remove the filter add teaspoom aqutic salt and do 25% water change every other day in addtion with medicine you remove the filter because it will filter out the medicine seriously you can save it at least try that way if it days on its own youll know in your heart you did everthing you could I think it can be saved please try give it a fighting chance happy fish keeping BIGAL PS its funny your getting answers to add salt to kill it freshwater fish like a little salt it actuly helps cure it lol

THere is no humaine way of killing a fish. Killing is killing but if you want to help your fish then bring it to the vet to see if the sickness is curable. If not then take it out and put it in a bag or box and leave it for a while. THen you can bury it.

Hi, well I wouldn't flush it down the toilet then. My hubby says to fry it and eat it, I think it's kinda nice knowing it will away be with you.
In all honestly there isn't a way to humanely put a fish out of its misery. A bullet will put a hole the size of montanta into what ever it is lying on and a syringe will probably suffice but what the heck its a fish. Oh and to leave it out of water gasping for breath is not advisable either.
Maybe add salt to the water... It's a thought, so the child won't know the difference, tell her it's like releasing it into the ocean.
UH Ally S.. are you sure you are not a mass fish killer? Uh er um do you do this for living??? You make Ted Bundy look like a teddy bundy.

How d o you know it has a terrible disease ? Have you taken it to the vet or a fish specialist ??
you can get medicine for fish
so maybe look into that before you go murdering your neice's fish
