The color of feces depends on the ingested material and the bile secreted, and is therefore variable.

Here in the Midwest we are just starting the sweet corn harvest and also nearing the end of the first beet season, so my feces is often deep red with yellow and white spots.

Depends on which animal it came out of. Feces is generally brownish in color. Sometimes in herbivores, it can have some green in it. In carnivore, poop is generally dark sometimes almost black. The color of feces (poop) in most animals and all mammals is cause by the color of the bile.

Hi. From what? Birds have one predominant color, insects another, mammals another still. Tan would cover many types.
