Many people use expletives to clearly announce that they are frustrated and/or angry.

In many cases, we feel that the only way that we will be listened to is if we launch a few f bombs.

Additionally, it is a psychological mechanism for releasing tension and anger in a less aggressive manner than a physical outburst.

I don't use "bad words". And I find them very offensive. I like making up words to fit when I'm upset. Silly words seem to make me smile.

"Bad words"? Do you mean taboo or slang?
Basically, I dun even know what is the best time to use such things, 'cause first of all, I'm a Chinese, and I dun usually use what so-called "bad words", but I would like to use 'em when I meet someone who looks very stupid, like calling them "moron", but that's from my intention of coz.. and i dun even know how to use "bad words" to fill in the missing blank..
like "what the xxx are you doing?", sth like that...
perhaps ppl just get used to it or they are using it when they feel angry or irritated, and that's one of the path to uncork their feelings... like when you did sth wrong..
