I have a 10 gal. aquarium with 1 Betta, 3 Cory Catfish, and 5 Neon tetras. I just want to know how many rasboras can I school in my aquarium? Please don't post if you're going to say that my tank is full or overstocked because I've already gotten answers that it isn't overstocked or full yet.

An additional question I would like to ask is do Ghost shrimp School together? If so-including the rasboras-how many can I school?

Personally I would say get 6-8 Rasbora het and 4-6 Ghost shrimp. The shrimp will not school as such but often end up hanging around the same area of the tank.

You are very correct, the tank is no where near over stocked.

I'm sorry but who ever said you weren't over stocked was wrong you can only push your bioload so far I know it stinks because every time (I go to the pet store I see fish I want but dont have room and it isnt fair to the fish to overstock cory's stay small so dont neons but a 10 gal tank is really only about 8gal of water you have a nice setup with the corys on the bottom the tetra's middle and a betta for your centerpiece I would definitley leave it be my advice would be to get a bigger tank or buy another 10 gal do rasbors ghost shrimp and maybe another betta or gournami if not give the neons back to the pet store and get your school of rasboras-I know you want to here you have more room and some people like mm will say you do but if you listen to the you will throw off your whole eco system if you added rasbores and ghost shrimp you would be pulling dead fish out ever morning sorry I know it sucks grab another tank put them side by side it is one inch per gal but its not just length its width to and 10 gal is like I said 8 so dont just pick the answer you want to here do it right and keep your fish happy nice job stocking that tank by the way its perfect but dont push it happy fish keeping BIG AL

one gallon of water per inch of fish- so do the math. you can probably do more since the cory's are bottom dwellers though. i dont know about the ghost shrimp though- are you sure they wouldnt eat them??
