I want to catch up on all the good gangster movies. Never really watched them b4 but I've found that I quite fancy them.

Already seen:
THE GODFATHER parts i, ii & iii. Loved them.
FIND ME GUILTY with Vin Diesel which was supergreat and funny.

Renting:
GOODFELLAS because I heard it was classic.

Recommend any others?

From the more modern movies i would recommend The Departed. Very good film and also by Martin Scorsese the same as Goodfellas which is brillaint. And for an older one also by this director it'd go for Mean Streets starring Robert De Niro. Another good film with De Niro would be Casino. Scareface is very good also.

I'm a big fan of british gangster movies as well. Try movies by guy ritchie like: lock, stock and two smoking barrells. Snatch and Layer cake. Three very good movies.

So my reccomendations would be:
*The Departed
*Mean Streets
*Casino
*Scareface
*Lock, stock and two smoking barrells
*Snatch
*Layer Cake

if you like then and want more feel free to ask. Hope this helps. Enjoy

I loved Goodfellas. Also loved Johnny Dangerously. If you like funny old movies, there is one called Larceny Inc. about a couple of criminals who want to rob a bank so they buy the luggage store next door. I think it had Edward G. Robinson in it. Some of the old movies on Turner Classic Movies are excellent

In 1985 or 86 I saw a movie called Once Upon A Time IN America, which stars Robert Duvall, Robert Denero and a couple of other people that I can't remember!! It is excellent!!!
