use a bronzer instead of powder. apply it to your cheek bones, and off the side of your forhead. it illuminates your face and actually makes it look thinner.

if you have pimples, use a concealer stick that matches your skin tone exactly. use lightly and rub in.

a gold colored eyliner pencil goes good on everyones skin and is light. apply only right underneath the bottoms lashes

clear mascara makes eyelashes stick otu with the less drama-affect

also, use the bronzer as eyeshadow. gives it a glittery look.

over the bronzer on the eyes, use your favorite eysahdow color. the bronzer will make it lighter and make a cleaner look

clean your brushes after every use

pat your face dry after a wash, it prevents wrinkles.

before putting on makeup use a light sunscreen

when you want to wash off make-up, use a cleaner, not just plain water.

hope these tips help ;]

It's important to remember that the purpose of using make-up is to enhance your natural looks without looking like you're wearing any!

For young girls, makeup should enhance your beauty and not be overdone. You could wear a bronzing gel to even out your skintone. A bronzing powder will give you a bronzed look, great for summer. Minimal makeup would be using a peach eyeshadow and deep brown mascara.

Foundation
If you live in a very dry climate, using some form of foundation or moisturizer is a good idea to protect your skin. Young skin doesn't normally need a foundation color, so choose a color that matches your skintone exactly. A darker or lighter color will look strange close up.

Blush
The color of blush you choose depends on a few factors. Your skin tone directly relates to the intensity you choose (light, medium, dark). Your blusher color should also relate to the shade of lipstick you wear. It doesn´t have to be the same color, but it should be in the same color family (pink brown or yellow brown or red brown, for example).

Smile. Brush the color on the apple of your cheek (that's the round part). Gently blend back towards the hairline

fisrt of all, don't apply too much. When you think you need more is usually when it looks the best, then you try to apply more and it looks bad or too much. when you do your eyeshadow, use colors that look natural and complimet your eye color.
Brown eyes : blue, browns, smokey eye or khaki green
Blue eyes : browns, soft blues
green eyes : browns, khaki greens, purples
hazel eyes : peaches, browns, tan
get a mascara ( black ) that will make you eeyelashes look full and long, but not too overboard on the length.
For your skin, if you want to use concealer, get a liquid and mix it with a moisturizer so it doesn't dry on your skin and crease. If you want your eyes to look large without the eyeliner colors too noticable, buy a white eyeliner - makes your eyes look awake.
Whatever you do, don't get black eyeliner, brown looks more natural and compliments any eye color. I wouldn't suggest wearing cover up because it fades and most people can tell if you wear it. most people look better without anyway. If your skin is really bad then either get a powder coverup and a brush or get a skin care, don't get the pad and compact coverup. To not look trasgy just remember not to make it look fake, stick to natural tones and colors that emphasize your eye colors. Stay away from deep dark, bright reds and other unusual make up colors.
good luck!!
www.almay.com tells you the colors that you should wear after you tell them your eye colo. And if your skin is bad they give a 3 step prcess that cures dry, oily, skin. :-)

The best thing you could ever do for yourself is take good care of your skin and eat healthfully so that your beauty radiates outward. Use a moisturizer and something with SPF in it everyday.

Whatever you do, STAY AWAY from foundation- it looks AWFUL on young girls, especially because they already have nearly flawless skin (honestly!).

When you wear makeup, use a little bit of mascara. Choose brown or black-brown, but not black because it's too dark and dramatic. Use a lightly tinted lip gloss. Maybe a bit of blush, but be careful to not overdo it because that turns into "too much" really quickly.

The most important tip I ever got when it comes to makeup is that Less is More. I don't think you would need foundation or mascara, but maybe just a light eyeshadow, light blush, natural looking lipstick, & maybe a little eyeliner, but not one that's too dark for your skin.

Also, remember to always remove your makeup before going to bed. Use a good cleanser to help prevent breakouts.

That's good that you don't want to look like a tramp! Anyways, make-up is suppposed to bring out your natural beauty, not cover it up. Like I said to someone else in a different question, I hate blues, greens, purples, blacks, etc. eyeshadows because that covers you up.

I use foundation, eye mascara, blush (very little), and lipgloss. That's all that you really need. Don't overdo it.

Use natural colors and don't apply it too heavily. Young girls really don't need much to look pretty since they have natural beauty. Go to makeup counters at the shopping mall and ask for a free makeover...someone will help you find the right makeup for your face.

I would say the same thing as most other people on here mascara, light eyeshadow, lipgloss. If you do decide to wear foundation please make sure it matches and dont forget to blend it under your chin. I remember when I was that age and so many girls had these makeup lines under their chins that did not match at all!

welll lipgloss and mac blot powder should really be all a 13 year old should be wearing, kids should be KIDS! its really discouraging to see parents allowing their kids to wear more than that, as a professional makeup artist and having worked in every medium of makeup there is nothing more sad than to see a little face all made up, its not cute at all
