Can anyone recommend a piano piece that is not advanced. I just want something new and pretty to focus on. I really like "The Heart Asks Pleasure First." so anything in that vein would be great. Thanks.

Henry Mancini's Love Theme from Romeo and Juliet is not too difficult to learn, and has held up well over the decades. Billy Joel's Piano Man isn't hard, either.

For a more classical approach, many pieces by Burgmueller sound impressive but have relatively easy fingering. His work is available in the Schirmer series.

how about canon in D by pachelbel ? it's a very easy piece but does not sound like a 2nd grade piano piece ....but i only found that out when i got to 3rd grade in piano ......PS .once you get to 7th or 8th grade , you'll care more for the music and not the difficulty ^^ ......

Grandfather's clock. It was my first song, so it's easy, plus you can mix it up with chords and such!
