I'm guessing you are meaning you are due for your period on the 10th since this is posted in TTC...

Implantation spotting should contain no bright red blood and shouldn't be heavy enough to require a pad or tampon. It also shouldn't last for more than a day or so. The timing could be right, but don't get your hopes up, it could just be AF on her way a little early.

Ok, I think what you mean is you're due to start your period on the 10th if I read it correctly. If that's the case then the brown spotting could be implantation bleeding. It can be pink to brown in color. Spotting is usually a few spots of blood either in your underwear or when you wipe after going to the bathroom. Implantation spotting shouldn't last very long - maybe 2 days max. A period is when you actually have a regular flow of blood and require some type of sanitary product. Spotting should not be heavy if you're hoping to be pregnant. The lighter the better. Now all you have to do is wait until your period is late to test! Best of luck!

Normally a brown coloration in the blood is old blood, not currently bleeding, just may have spotted a little and is now coming down and you only notice as you wipe. Spotting is usually very light and sparodic. This spotting sometimes happens if you get pregnant. Your body knows it is supposed to get ready for a cycle but as it can't this is all you will get. You may only have this one occurence or you could have several of them. Everyone is different. If you do not start your period before or on the date you are supposed to I would suggest a pregnancy test. Since you are so close to being due for your period you could go get one of the early pregnancy tests that would tell you 5 days after your missed period. Maybe you are! Best of luck to you. After reading this through again I am confused! You are due for your period on the 10th or due to have your baby on the 10th? If you are due to have a baby on the 10th then this very well could have been your plug. This plug is made up of mucous and may be tinged with blood when you lose it. This normally means your baby will be making the grand entrance within the week! Hope this covers it all!!

Brown discharge usually indicates old blood.I have experienced this before and came to it was ovulation. Can also happen if your partners been a little rough with you.Implantation bleeding is normally pinkish rather than brown and not all ladies get spotting only half of all pregnant woman will experience it.Implantation will only last a few days or even be seen just the once sometimes its hardly noticeable others it is more but it wont follow the usual pattern of your period light heavy light. It is usually scanty and as stated spots sometimes unreconisable.Id be more inclined to think your brownish discharge was a bit of old blood sometimes our bodies do that and many woman experience a diffrence in discharge sometimes. If you are trying to concieve you could start detecting ovulation using a test you can buy them cheaply at www.accessdiagnostics.co.uk and everything i buy from them turns up within 2 days.If your period doesent show up when its meant to take a pregnancy test you can also buy them from the same site for around 30p each.Best of luck

Spotting is where there is period-type discharge, but doesnt require wearing a tampon or sanitary towel. Normally spotting is only noticed when visiting the bathroom and wiping, there is nothing noticable on your knickers. Some people like to protect themselves a little still and use liners instead. It shoul'nt be heavy, but can be most variants colours of pink through to red through to brown. Spotting usually only lasts a few days at max.

A period is when you have to use a tompon or towel, will go from light/medium to heavier before getting lighter again and usually last around 4-7 days.

I got spotting 2 days before i was due and it looked just like brown at the end of a normal period. I was worried so went to doctors who sent me home saying i was just an anxious mum to be and he didn't think it was a show. 4 hours later i was in hospital in labour ., then the next morning I was a mum just like that !! . I don't know if spotting is a sign of "within a few days you will give birth" but it was for me. GL

It could be a number of things. Wait a few days and see if it turns into your menstrual cycle, our cycles do change up ever so often. If not monitor how much and how often (IE- how many panty liners do you saturate per day). Is there any odor? Lastly, and of course, if you discover it is not your cycle then just go to the doctor just to see what it is.

Spotting is brown and usually only noticable when you wipe. It's old blood. Your period is red and a flow of blood.

The Brown discharge is likely from your uterus cleaning itself out. Either to get ready for the baby or for another reason, are you pregnant? That might be why.

I'd say its your mucus plug coming out. My baby arrived a week after my plug came out. It wasnt alot, only bits of brown every now and then when I went to the toilet. Good luck!
