Hi,

The area is found by multiplying the length times the width. This would be (3x² - 2x - 8)(x² + 4x + 1).

This is the same as:

3x²(x² + 4x + 1) - 2x(x² + 4x + 1) - 8(x² + 4x + 1) =

3x^4 + 12x³ + 3x² -2x³ - 8x² - 2x - 8x² -32x - 8

Combining like terms gives:

3x^4 + 10x³ - 13x² - 34x - 8

I hope this helps!! :-)

Area = length x width
=(3X^2 – 2X – 8)(X^2 + 4X + 1)
=3X^4-2X^3 -8X^2 +12X^3 -8X^2-32X +3X^2 -2X-8

=3X^4+10X^3-13X^2-34X-8 feet

Area=A
length=l
width =w
then,
A=l*w
A=(3X^2-2X-8)(X^2+4X+1)
A=(3X^4+12X^3+3X^2-2X^3-8X^2-2X-8X^2-32X-8)
A=(3X^4+12X^3-2X^3+3X^2-8X^2-8X^2-2X-32X-8)
Take away the ( )thes:
or
A=3X^4+10X^3-13X^2-34X-8

28 ft x fifty 9 ft suitable, permit's think of there is no "3 foot longer", so the size is in basic terms two times as long because of the fact the width. this could propose that 3 x the size of the long part is comparable to the fringe(because of the fact the two widths are equivalent to a minimum of one long length). despite the fact that, we've been forgetting on the subject of the three foot. because of the fact there are 2 facets that are 3 foot longer than two times the width it incredibly is 6 foot altogether. Take 6 from 174 = 168. simply by bit that we've already commonly used (with out 3 foot the fringe is thrice the size of the long part) we are able to now, pretending that the fringe is 168 foot verify that 168(perimeter) / 3 = length of long part. It equals fifty six. Now comes putting all of it jointly. fifty six is comparable to the size of the long part with out the greater suitable 3 foot which equals two times the size of the width. consequently, the width equals 28. The length of the long part is two times this and upload 3 which equals fifty 9. i've got checked it and it particularly works. THIS replaced into confusing! do not pay attention to those that SAY 40 two AND 40 5. THEY FORGOT on the subject of the "two times THE WIDTH" BIT AND in basic terms DID "3 ft LONGER"!!!

Length = (3x + 4) (x - 2)
Breadth = x² + 4x + 1
A(x) = (3x + 4) (x - 2) (x² + 4x + 1) ft²
A(x) = (3x + 4) (x³ + 2x² - 7x - 2) ft²
A(x) = 3x^4 + 10x³ - 13x² - 34x - 8 ft²

area formula
A = length * width

A = [(3X^2 – 2X – 8) feet] * [ (X^2 + 4X + 1) feet ]
A = (3X^2 – 2X – 8) * (X^2 + 4X + 1) * (feet * feet)
A = (3X^4 + 10X^3 -13X^2 -34X -8 ) * (squared feet)
A = (3X^4 + 10X^3 -13X^2 -34X -8 ) squared feet
