the answer is (3x+5)(x+2). 3x times x = 3x^2, 3x times 2 = 6x, 5 times x = 5x, and 5 times 2 = 10

3x^2 + 6x + 5x + 10 = 3x^2 + 11x + 10

Well, the first thing that we notice is that the coefficient of "3" in front of the "x^2" is only divisible by one and iteself, so we know that "3x" and "x" need to be multiplyed together. We also notice that every number in the equation is even, so we are only dealing with positive signs.

(3x +__) (x +__)

Now, we need two numbers that multiply to equal "10". The numbers that do this are (1 and 10) and (2 and 5).

Now we just use common sense. If we were uing (1 and 10) in the parenthesis, we would multiply 3x by 10 to get 30x, a number that is aready too big, considering that we need 11x. Therefore, the onyl possible remaining option would be (2 and 5).

Now we just need to ind out what order they go in. We can use trial and error here.

(3x + 2) (x +5) = 3x^2 + 17x + 10, which is not what we need.

(3x + 5) (x + 2) = 3x^2 + 11x + 10.

Therefore, the answer is (3x + 5) (x + 2)

Hope this helps.

First write down factors of 3x².These are 3x and x
(3x******).(x******)
Now require factors of 10 that combine with 3x and x to give 11x.
Trial and error gives 5 and 2:-
(3x + 5).(x + 2)

Check
3x.(x + 2) + 5.(x + 2)
3x² + 6x + 5x + 10
3x² + 11x + 10 as required.

3x^2 + 11x + 10

By trial and error, basically.

(3x + ?)(x + ?)

Test factors of 10. Let's try 2 and 5.

(3x + 2)(x + 5)

Outer plus inner = 17x; we want 11 x. Let's try 5 and 2.

(3x + 5)(x + 2)

Outer plus inner = 11x, so that's how it factors.
