my 2nd dog is a Golden Retriever puppy. The Lhasa won't allow the puppy to eat in the house so I have to feed him outside or else the Lhasa attacks him. I try to keep food outside for him so that when I let him out he can eat, but I keep seeing this cat eating his food! I am not a cat hater or anything, but I like to monitor how much my dog is eating and it is kind of hard to do with this cat coming around. Any suggestions? Me actually grabbing the cat and calling the city isn't an option because I am highly allergic. I have squirted it with a water bottle, but he still came back.

Give the puppy meals, don't leave a bowlful outside for him. Give him what he should eat, and give him 10 minutes to finish. If he doesn't finish it all, wait until the next meal and offer again. This will teach your pup to eat all of his food right away. I wouldn't let the Lhasa get away with that obnoxious behavior. Putting him on a leash at meal times and correcting him would be a good idea.

Simple, teach your Lhasa not to be such a jerk.. You are the boss not him, stand between him and the pup when they are eating and squirt HIM with water when he acts up, praise him when he does not act aggressive.. problem solved, Lhasa gets the training he needs, pup gets his food in the house and kitty goes somewhere else for a snack. Dont let your lhasa run the show, he is the one who needs to be punished and penalized for his actions not the pu.. you need to train him to behave.

Now if it was me I would buy cat food and feed the cat outside, unless or until I could find its home or find it a new home if it was a stray.

PS I am really allergic to cats too, that doesnt stop me I have 4. Allergies are incurable you can either suffer and complain and avoid doing things or you can live your life regardless and dont let a simple problem run your life there are effective antihistamines you can take... Allergies, they arent an excuse!

If there is no way you can feed them indoors, in seperate rooms (Kitchen/ Bathroom) then I have a trick you can try.
Place a lawn sprinkler near the food dish. Position yourself near the spigot (hint- you may have to run the hose to the front of the house and have someone watch the dish for you) When the food thief strikes, blast the sprinkler. Trust me once or twice of that, the kitty will not want to go anywhere near the food. Just be sure to leave the sprinkler nearby for a while.
you may have to follow up on it a few times after that if kitty gets bold again.

Beat the Lhasas butt with a belt until he quits attacking the pup.Let him know that to attack the pup is bring on a belt for his butt.I mean it,smack him with it.If it attacks you,get rid of him.Keep the pup one way or the other, that is a very good breed.
Sometimes it takes that in life. The pup is innocent and deserves your protection.
The Lhasa is not innocent and deserves your discipline.
As to the cats, get a pellet rifle and let them have it.You can pump it up until it hurts but does not kill.
On the other hand, you can scope that thing and start taking out cats.
It is your call.

There are certain plants that cats hate, and try to avoid, I would recommend going to a local greenhouse/plant market and asking about them, then planting them all around the edge of your lawn. My mom did it with her garden because she was sick of cats doing their buisness there, and it works.

squirt it w/ the garden hose. or you might just shoot it w/ a bb gun. a little mist prolly isnt gonna bother it too much, but he wont like the soaking wet. and he will learn.

elevating ONE pup is problematic adequate. in the excellent pursuits of each and every person, please permit his mothers and fathers take and carry between the domestic canines. Its unlike you will in no way see the domestic dog returned.
