Lightning, like love, can hit many times.

Lightning does strike the same place twice. Even som unfortunate people multiple times. It is just an old wives tale that says that it doesnt. If you track all lightning strikes in an area for a lomng enough time, you will se repeats. Only reason why we don't see it hit the same place is we don't watch long enough. Lightning will hit anywhere and anything that provides the best conduit to the ground. It does not matter if it is a metal pole or a tree or you. Whatever it finds as the best route it will follow even bypassing obviously better routes.

Lightning is electricity and electricity loves to take the path of least resistance.
Good conductors like lightning rods are repeatedly struck by lightning.
Objects like trees are destroyed or badly damaged or altered by the lightning when struck. Their resistance is altered by the event so they are usually hit only once. (After that, they may not be there any more so can't be hit again.)

I saw a documentary about lightning where a woman had been struck 3 times on 3 different occasions.

yes, just look at a slow motion camera filming a lightning rod, you can see it hit several times.

The funny things are when it hits people three or more times, and they are never at the same place when it occurs... perhaps god does throw the occational lightning bolt. :)

U should go out when it does to see if it will with a long pole or something if it hit then try it one more time.
