No. All the countries that have a higher quality of life and a longer life expectancy then the US (like the countries of Western Europe, for example) would be considered "too socialist" to republicans.

Show me a "successfull" country in your mind, and I'll show you a country with 50-70% in taxes, and no way to work hard and improve your lifestyle.
We are the leading example of what one can do when you work hard. Individuals should be allowed to improve their lives, and not be held down by democrat/socialist policies looking out for the people who are content with having nothing.
If you have any doubt on which countries are 'successful', look at how many people try to become citizens in them. You don't see 20 million illegal immigrants in any other country, do you?

Not being a republican I cannot answer for them, however any thing socialist is too much for me. Certainly our federal government has to do things that the individual or states cannot do that we must have, like common defense. Once it goes beyond the point of taking over what the states can and should do by the constitution and taking over the personal responsibility of the individual it becomes collectivism which I view as the last great evil in the world.

Yes......The United States of America before the modern day liberals took over in the 60's. It was a very successful country back then. It still is now despite those who try to bring us down.

No,anyone left of the GOP is a socialist in their mind so that includes the rest of the industrialized world.They don't know what socialism is,for them it's only a buzz word and a scare tactic

Wow, good question. They pretty much despise everything Western Europe stands for. Not much in Asia or South America for them to latch on to. It's definitely not Russia or China. Hmm. I guess they're the only right ones in the entire world.

nope, but in all fairness none of those nations spend any where near the amount that we do on military, and they normally have higher taxes.
