Oh Yes! Much would be lost if the American way of life is lost. I think the American way of life largely represents what most people in the world want.

Unfortunately, the American way of life has moved from simple material satisfactiton and security to greed. That needs to stop.

Wow!
Some really great questions today!!

It seems to me that my idea of the American way of life is being corrupted by the process of globalization!

How many people benefit from the way it will be in proportion to the way things were?

Did somethings need improving? Of course.
But I don't think globalization will be an answer in fact it will only cause millions of people to fall even more into poverty!
Just look at how many companies are conducting business out of our country now that were all here before!
Soon all of the jobs will be working for the globalists or working in the service industry in one way or another.
I long for the days we were all proud to buy things that were actually 'Made in the U.S.A.'!!

I think it's worth preserving but I am very concerned that those days are only a memory!

I have much more to say on this subject but I could go on all day! So I'll just end it here!

Excellent question!

A quick review of global populations individual liveing standards shows one that there is a tremendous varriation in 'ways and means' of civilizations and cultures and societys...

"globalization" implys there will be some kind of equilization of global resorces...

So, it isnt realy a question of 'if' we will be abel to preserve this way of life...it's more a matter of how much of it will remain after all is said and done..and globalization is in the throws of implimentation.

I have some doubts about how 'equitable' that equilization is going to work out, tho.

So does the rest of the rational thinking world populations, aparently..

..obviously, americans will be the primary focus of surrendering a greater portion of there luxurioury and comphorts... the vast majority of the worlds other populations have little if any thing to forfit..
...just as obvious, they wont do so willingly..

..so... pryor to the inforced impositions of meeting any kind of global standard or life style or liveing equity, it obviously becomes pryority that some international containment facilitys be errected for those who will resist the forfiture and relinquishment of there assets.... americans wont give up with out a fight, and our government has already began the fundings for newer and larger penitenturys and prisons and detention facilitys.

On the brighter side... in the process of globalization, the greater majoritys of populations will be systematically intered into identity bank's of varrious sorts, and shuld one ever wonder where or who some one 'is', it would be no problem to find out..the global networks would spit that little piece of info out in just a few seconds.

The world of humanity is going to see some real chalanges one way or another.

It's worth preserving....question is can it be? There's ALOT more poverty than wealth. Atleast the American way of life gave hope. Globalization seems to take that away for most.

I do not see my way of life endangered by globalization. I have taken advantage of this nation's education opportunities. I love having a more unified world where people from different cultures interact and specialize their economic might in areas that fit their levels of education and environment.

It'll be a moot point in the next decade or so when cheap energy runs out. Global logistics will not last and we'll be back to something more like the turn of the last century.

Yes it is worth preserving. Heck, the US is the most successful nation the world has ever known, so we must have done something right. Globalization will only destroy this great nation.

Define the American way of life.

150 years ago it was slavery
40 years ago it was segregation and the mistreatment of women

The above is being pointed out to display how the American way of life is ever evolving and ever changing, hopefully for the better.

Change is often a scary thing. Thus far, we have been better for it.
