my grandson was trying to download a new ringtone. He doesn't remember what numbers he pressed. He's had the phone for about 2 hours and hadn't even bought any credit for it yet! It's ruined his birthday. Can anyone help? his dad rang Orange but they can't help unless he can remember what he dialled

HI you need a unlocking code it happens if you accidental hit the wrong number in a few times.

firstly check the manual that you got with the mobile and find the pin number that was factory set on the phone then ring orange or try there website. then ask for unlocking code explain that your grandson accidentally blocked his mobile. they will probably either call you back or ask you to confirm some personal details then give you the unblocking code. note this number down and keep it safe for future reference.

its a unique number to your handset. i hope you find this useful and get it sorted so he can enjoy rest of his birthday.

good luck

p.s. if the adviser don't give it too you tell them you will complain to ofcom- they will know who that is and will defiantly want to help.

i used to work for 02 we follow same protocol as orange.
