Because they are the only people you CAN hurt. Someone who doesn't feel close to you won't be hurt by the insensitive things you do. Irritated? yes. HURT? no. This is why you think before you do something that might hurt someone you love.

Sometime you have to hurt someone close to you to get yourself happy. It may not be the right thing to do but sometime you just have to do it. Like for example if your going out with someone at one point they either have to hurt you or you hurt them. Theres usually no easy way to not hurt someone unless you both want the same thing then it may work. It gets harder as you get older, or more into a relationship.

one of the rules in life is to hurt those who we love and leave those who loved us, when you think you are in love and you finally found the right girl, she'll slip away through your fingers. That's life and that's why we always survive, that's why we are humans, the best creaters ever.
