it is same old story of corruption without much dept in screenplay,
it looks vey childish.
but they are talking about the best in the industry.
even a novice can take such movie, no difference in quality.
why indians are giving so much importance to name.
If this movie has nt the name of rajini, shankar, ah rahman, it would havent run even one day.
We can give anything to Indians with a great names they will go behind!

firstly iam not frm south......2nd ihav not seen ny of his films....BUT.......upto which i kno starpower does evrything.......its just like poison..........the craze thats goin in south is not for sumthng worthless......then say y is aap ka surror a hit??

You got it right. Its just the brand name. Any movie with Rajini in it is sure to be that year's super hit. Even though his movie may not be worth watching, Shankar and Rahman are the best we have. And with their combination with our super star, sky's the limit.
It'll take a long time for us Indians to appreciate real good work. And not be biased with great names as you mentioned. As of now, we can't change anything. We can't tell people how to feel or think, right?

to b frank i loved da movie chandramukhi of rajnikanth, wher his role was suitable for his age, and the story was also something intresting. but in this sivaji that role doesnt suit him at all, it also spoiles his image, he should not act accept roles lik that, something lik padayappa "the father of abbas", chandramukhi "a doctor and allot"... would suite him well allot... sivaji has a gud story but the styles, the age of the character sivaji, the action's dint suite him at all, the make up artists hav tried to make him look too young but it dint work out well, the bald head rajini would have been more better for the ENTIRE FILM something different... but a gud movie not bad...

I also think the same..but its south indian star rajinikant's movie..ppl are mad behind him.(i don't like him).
I was in chennai,last week,on streets ,u can see loads of hoardings,shows housefull.
its basically its style..
