First of all, I wouldn't hire a stranger that advertises on Craig's list to fix my computer. He might be a mugger or a robber, I don't know him. He needs to give some references upon request. Then I might hire him after I talk to his references. The references might be from a local business that people know and can call.

I haven't seen his ad, but there are a lot of people saying that they can fix computers but without references, he might just make my computer worse! He needs to have his ad to give assurances of some kind to people that he is capable. Good luck to him!

My mentor always said that conversion is a function of few factors such as the sales copy. You may have a website that features all that the company do, but is there a call to action, what are people supposed to do after reading yr web page. If there is no compelling reason in the ad copy, its like this is the reason for low conversion. And secondly, is what you have to offer anything great? Do you make it an irresistable offer?

i think there are way too many losers in this game! Here is why!

The national average of conversions is between 0.5% and 1.0%

The word "AVERAGE" is the key word!

He may get 5 jobs in the next 250 clicks!

Do not change directions until 2 k clicks minimum.

I built a seo business that does 6 figures on craigslist.
Keep going and give time for the averages to work.

Marketing is a numbers game!

The ad copy needs to be strong, and as others have suggested, you really need a web site to link to that has testimonials and all of their contact info, so people know they are for real.
