Yet you don't want it to go to a vote simply because you don't trust the community to do the right thing? Well here's my dilemma. I aksed a question in the religion section and I don't know who to award the best answer and I don't trust them to do the right thing over there. How would you decide this question? Link's right there:

I meant that I don't trust the community in the R&S section to vote the right way.

I love Don S's answer. He is the only honest one. No one knows how God the Father and God the Son are one. Jesus said in Matthew that they are one as we and He are one. I am one with Him but that doesn't make me Him so I can't say that makes Him the Father either. Don S says he doesn't know and quotes Paul as saying, "Now we see dimly as in a mirror, but then we shall see Him face to face." I agree with him. We don't know but we must acknowlege Jesus as at least God's Son and nothing less. We'll find out when we meet Him if He is the Father or if the Father and He are one the way we and He are one. His was the best answer.

mairzydoatz is the clearest answer and although its not entirely descriptive it starts with a basic principle that is important to understand before you can grasp the Trinity idea---that Jesus was both fully God and fully man. The rest of the answers kind of lost their meaning in their winded thoughts. But basically give best answer to her and understand that Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit are all ONE being with each manifestation having its own role. And Jesus is the son of God at the same time because while he is one of God he was also at the same time a part of the human race and therefore had the human vulnerability and piety we all have as children of God.

Did you try the site the one answerer told to you to look at? Was it any help? It's a hard choice, but I would pick the one who came closest to what you already know. Most of them did a good job of explaining, pick one who tried to be a little more in depth about it.
I wish you luck. It is not always easy when there is more than one good answer.

Since I was always taught that Jesus is God's only son, I'd go with Sharon on this one. I hate choosing best answer, always feel guilty about the other people who have taken their time to answer my questions

If you don't want to leave the voting to others (which come from every forum), select the one which rings most true to you. There's room for your comments if you wish to clarify or thank more than one for their contributions.

Go with Matt for the 10 points. Check out his scriptural references. Some others were correct too, but his explanation was the easiest to understand and scripturally based. Jesus, God (the father) and the Holy Spirit are one. God bless you as you grow in wisdom, faith and understanding. Welcome to the family!

I'd give the best answer to Angel, for quoting St. Patrick (one of my favorite saints).

Think about it clearly and whoever you feel has given you the right answer and one that can coincide with your beliefs then you can pick that answer with a clear conscience.

If I can't decide between a couple of answers I usually give it to the one with the lowest % of best answers.
