They were "ment" to be "apart", but someone messed up.

Because they are APART from other Apartments through the use of walls in the same building.

i dont know. it is just a name they gave it i guess. i think closetogetherments would be too hard for the people who own those places to spell. at least it would be for the people that own the one i rent anyway. good luck.
