What do you think about the 12-21-2012 predicition and the Mayan calender?

For the record, my thoughts are I don't believe the world will end, however it may change dramatically.
I referenced the Mayan calender because quite a few people are familiar with the theory, not because I believe it.
Suuposedly according to a program on Discovery Ch. It will be the first time in 50, 000 years that the sun and earth will be in alignment with the center of the milky way.
There are lots of theories: sunspot cycles, asteroid revolutions, etc.
I'm just curious what others think.

no one knows when that will be except God himself....although I do wonder why the Mayans chose to stop the calender at that date? I find all of this very interesting but try not to worry about things I can't control

The Mayans barely invented the wheel. They didn't know when the world was going to end. And actually that's not even what they predicted for 2012.

I do not think that the world will survive to 2012.
I feel that the end of the world will occur about November
2008 when Hillary Clinton is elected President of the USA.

It's utter nonsense. There have been end of the world predictions since the dawn of history and this one isn't any different.

You can take that piece of garbage and stuff it where the Sun doesn't shine.
Shows a tremendous gap between your physical age and your intellectual age.

2012 is not that far away. We need only

Only God knows when the rapture will come. While humans try to predict the exact hour, they can't only God knows!!!!
