and sleep at night? Madonna produces more than 100 times the average amount of waste produced by Britons in a year. Streisand uses a motor home for short trips. Travolta operates a fleet of private jets.
Algores concerts have been a massive blight on the planet, generated millions for a small group of people, and will accompish little for the time and money spent. The entertainers are the biggest hypocrites, asking everyone else to conserve while they use more. Isn't this so typical for the liberal crowd?

TG, you're dead wrong, Americans are not asking countries with lower standards of living to use less so that we can continue wasting, the way Gore & Co. do.

I won't argue with that. There is nothing wrong with promoting conservation (whether in the interest of environmentalism or energy-independence). But doing so in such an over-hyped and wasteful way is wrong. The event seems poorly coneived, IMO.

Babs has a 28 room house. If I had her money being a good American I probably would too. Maybe they think if the little people conserve there will be more for them. The thing I think we forget in America is we are free to be as successful as we want to work for. I worked hard for 30 years. As I became more successful I moved up the ladder. From a small house to a larger one. From an used car to the ones I love that are older than I am. What would you do if you won the 126 million that was up in the Mega Millions lottery this weekend. Would you worry about what you are consuming.

Think of your question another way. The average American uses 20 times the resources of most of the world's people. Should they than refuse to do anything useful until we've all taken vows of poverty? We must all do what we can, and stop using the wealth of others as an excuse.

Conservation is not for the liberal elites, it just for you silly rabbits. My private jet needs fuel to go back and forth from coast to coast on a weekly basis.

They're just saying "do as I say not as I do." Is the typically liberal--no. It's typically hypocritical--a state that seems to be predominant right now across the board. You should be more worried about the conservative effort that has failed.
