NFL opening night is 61 days from today. College football starts 54 days from today. I am more psyched than ever, especially after upgrading from a 25" tube television to a 46" hi-def LCD during the off-season. Is anyone else as pumped as I am?!

I'm a San Francisco 49er and Notre Dame fan, but I'll watch just about any NFL or major college game. I just like good football. I can't wait to see what Randy Moss can do with Tom Brady. I want to see if Matt Leinart can build on the promise he showed last year. Will LaDainian Tomlinson dominate again? Just how good is Calvin Johnson? Can the Steelers rebound from their tough year? Is the honeymoon over for Charlie Weis in South Bend? Those are just some of the questions I have going into the fall. What about you?

Yeah I can't wait to see how good the Brady/Moss connection will be. There's the potential for the Pats to dominate the league next year. Remember the Pats were right there last year with a lot less talent at WR then they do this year and if anything the Colts are not as good as they were last year.

I can't wait to see if Donovan Mcnabb comes back healthy and leads the Eagles back to dominance.

I can't wait to see how Charlie Weiss does at Notre Dame this year. Year 3. Now it will be a lot of Weiss recruits playing. He will be on the hot seat if they don't improve from last season.

It will be very odd to watch a Steelers game and not see Cowher on the sideline.

Who will be the surprise team next year to make the leap. Could it be the Cardinals? Or maybe the Jets?

I can't WAIT for the NFL to start! Fall is my favorite time of year. Gonna sound like a lady for a moment, but bare with me......I love the fall because here in Southern CA is cools off to the 60s and 70s, the kids go back to school, the holidays are right around the corner, and SUNDAYS BELONG TO THE HUSBANDS AGAIN! Not to mention Monday nights, and the occasional Thursday and Saturday! Looking forward to pitchers of beer, hot wings, sub sandwiches, and chearing for my SAN DIEGO CHARGERS! As for what I will look for this season..........

* Will Norve Turner (former SD offensive coordinator during LT's first season) be able to FINALLY bring a championship to San Diego? Or did we already have our shot?

* Will Dallas emerge as a dominating force in the NFC?

* Will fairweather Patriot fans shut up after the end of week 9 when the Pats are only 6-3 after losses to San Diego, Cincinnati, and Indiannapolis?

* Will Indiannapolis make another Super Bowl run? Or was it pure luck that they won last year?

* How will the Saints do after last year's amazing season?

* Will the Bengals stay out of jail long enough to rise up to clinch their division and make a playoff run?

* Will the Raiders win more than 4 games?

* Will the Eagles fall flat with an overrated Donovan McNabb?

* Will Dan Marino hate Brett Favre forever after he breaks all of his records?

* Will the Broncos regret replacing Jake Plummer with Jay Cutler?

* Will the 49ers win their division?

And last but not least..........

* What will gas prices be in February 2008 when legions of San Diego fans drive to Phoenix to watch the SAN DIEGO CHARGERS defeat the New Orleans Saints 37-24????

~still laughing at the thought of Dan Marino crying~ Thanks Kevin!!

Hellsyeah I'm excited about football... Even being a Lions fan - having to wonder if we'll keep figuring out ways to lose in the 4th quarter... *giggle* (4 WR First Round Picks in the last four years... uh..... Fire-Frickin'-Millen) I may be one of the few people who gives two craps about Moss (true athletes don't play just when they wanna), I've got bets on how far into the season we'll get before some TO drama (I've got week 3 of preseason), will Big Ben bounce back? Will Vince Young succumb to the Madden curse?

All jokes aside... sorta... I can't wait!! I love the the unknown... watching it all unfold in the most unexpected ways... ("Terrell Owens has 25 million reasons to be alive") The surprises, like Marques Colston and the Saints, and the disappointments... Hellooo Steelers....

It's a helluva sport... Yeah, I may have to get a game of Madden in before the weekend's over.

Indeed I am. I have the countdown clock going to . I cannot wait. The best part is my wife is stoked too. You post some good points here - some other things to watch - How many yards will Travis Henry run for in the Broncos offense? - Will the Cowboys play smarter under Wade Phillips? Can the Bengals focus on football? Don't forget - Brady now has Dante Stallworth to throw to as well. Enjoy the season.

I'm pumped up dude!

I'm a U of Michigan and Detroit Lions fan.

I wonder if our Wolverines can handle all the pressure this year... Ohio State did well with it the past couple years but how will we fare in the favorite's role. I also have a lot of questions for our secondary (can Trent handle a more permanent role?) and our D-Line losing Branch. I think our toughest game next year may be with your Irish.

With the Lions, can we win 10 games (lol, okay maybe not, but can we be in contention even in November?) Is our defense really improving? Is Calvin Johnson enough? Does my hatred of our team for getting rid of my favorite players going to end up turning into joy?

OMG Dude !!!

I am so ready lol. Even though the prospects for my favorite team aren't high I'm so pumped to get it going. Every year I attend training camp at least a couple of times and it gets me so jazzed for the season. If you're a Packer fan, come to camp it's awesome. Sports Illustrated Peter King said it's something everyone should do even if your not a fan of the Pack.

Is it just me or do the rest of you find it impossible to not sing those words when you see them

" Are You Ready For Some Football "

Hank Williams Jr always comes to mind lol.

Go Badgers !
Go Packers !

This time of year is hard for the football fan. I'm itching for some gridiron action.

Can't wait to see if Jon Gruden can turn around the Tampa Bay Bucs (if he wants to keep his job, he'd better!)

And watch out for the University of South Florida Bulls in the Big East. I think they will dominate.

Can't wait.

July is the time of year that I start to get excited, particularly when training camps open.

And for the first time ever, I'll be watching the college game as well as the NFL. Might even throw in some CFL as well.

This is MY time of the year, and I cannot wait for it to begin.

(Well, congratulations "Me"...get yourself a medal!!!!!!!!! How do you know that I don't play sports, or do other pursuits with my time and money? HOW DARE YOU!!!!!!!!!!)
