Hi:
I have a question regarding my transmission. Recently when I drove at 40mph, my rpm is around 1500-2000; however, sometimes it will just stuck at 1500 and I was feeling my car had no sufficient horse power, so I have to accelerate my gas more, but the car would stuck a little bit untill I step more, then suddenly speed up with the rpm around 3500. Is this means that I have to do the transmission flush becuase it might too dirty in my transmission?

Sorry my English writing might not as good as well but I try to describe my problem in my own word, and thanks for answering me.

My car is 96 Nissan Altima, just wondering will this get better if I do the transmission flush?

I take it this is an automatic transmition.

If not it may be your clutch is slipping and either needs adjustment or renewal.

If an auto then check your transmition fluid to see it is topped up. (Check for leaks also)

If it still happens and you are not encountering a hill then get it seen to.

Ouch can be expensive
