Negligent Parents!!!!!!!
When I read the story to my kid I tell him what a dumbass Goldilocks is and out of dumb luck she wasn't eaten. I say that's why you don't stray from mama when we are out. It seems to work.
I'm weird I know.

Goldilocks was a little brat that didn't listen to her parents and felt she could do as she pleased. Just look at what little regard she had for a stranger's house and their possessions. She deserved to be ate.
Besides, she'd probably try to pull a Paris Hilton on them and tell the papa bear, "You can't eat me, I'm too hot".

her parents got sick of her so they dropped her off in the woods to be raised by bears.
