Well like my aunt likes the music I like and she said if I ever need anyone to go to a concert with that she will go. But my mom thinks its like Woodstock...and my grandma found out and she said that its a bad influence too.

Tell her it's a good experience for you to be independent (if you are going without her and just with friends or your aunt). And tell her people don't do drugs there because they are too busy listening to the music because there are so many bands playing.

You don't say why you need to go so badly, but let's assume that you just want to go and listen to the music. Could you ask mom to go with you, make it a mother/daughter outing. Could an aunt or another trusted relative take you? You are not old enough to attend this type of outing alone. Concerts can be fun, but also very dangerous. Rather than trying to convince you mom to let you go, try to see it from her perspective. You are her child and she wants no harm to come to you. How can you prove that this is a safe venue? Who else could attend with you (mom, aunt, dad, uncle, parent of a friend...)? What have done in the past to earn her trust? How can you show mom that you are maturing and what can you do to show that you are responsible?

Don't get your heart set on going to the concert, but concentrate on what you can do to improve your image with your parents, so that when the time does come that you are a little older, they might be willing to say yes!

Enjoy life!

I want to go to Warp Tour too! I looks freakin awesome! My parents won't let me go cause they hate that type of music. My mom thinks that it will be a bad influence on me. Maybe you can find a friend of that will take you.

there are none. mom said no thats the end of it. you are too young to go to such a thing people get raped and killed at those things mom is right your too young. the fact your on here asking how to convince mom is even more proof your not mature enough or old enough. sucks being a kid. when your an adult and on your own you can do what you want but right now what mom says goes sorry

first-If the lord allows it you can go with your aunt

Yet, i was going to the warped tour-you listen to the music and think its all great-well right down the words and think, is this they type of person and feelings you want to live your life with?

what helped me most was a prayer-Jesus you know what is best, what will keep me happiest, if i am not willing to do it change my will so I will be willing to do it, amen"

this is what helped me most of all to have true joy and a song in my soul="In marriage the bed is undefiled, but all others shall be judged." Hebrews 13 the same chapter that tells us once we let Jesus into our heart "I will never leave thee nor forsake thee."
on faith=our best - good grooming hair to toes, with nice clothing kept.
to think our best - read the bible and get directions-especially the book of proverbs-i read 3 verses of it a day for 3 days, and then 3 new ones-greatest book of wisdom in the greatest book of smartness-the bible

yet to get the connection we must apply the answer from within-This helped me as born a Jew to realize =when we admit we need something more we are ready to consider the one that gave it all for us, to help us.

As promised "Unto us a child is born a son is given, and he will be the mighty God, the wonderful counselor, and the prince of peace." Isaish 9:6

He said "I go to the cross for the joy set before me, that you might believe." Gospel words of Jesus
"As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten, repent quickly therefore (even of one lie) and turn to me. Behold I stand at your heart door and knock, if you hear my word and open the door I will come in and be your friend." Revelation 3:19&20

So I prayed and had this need fulfilled in my life ="Jesus I am sorry for my sins, thanks for dying for me and promising to come into my heart to help me, please do and be my friend, amen."

A new wonderful life began for me-and is offered to each person.

May you have a great day, I am praying for you and each concerned, David

my mom was the same way when i wanted to go to lollapalooza, i simply told her that just because she wasn't fond of the same music didn't mean she couldn't respect my personal sense of taste, it also didn't hurt that i was 16 and was going with a group of people she liked and trusted.
