Easier to detect a beautiful soul under ugly exterior. Bc you can tell if someone is sweet and kind.
I think it would be harder to tell if someone is evil inside but beautiful outside because a lot of people would be blinded by their good looks and probably charm so they might ignore how rude or "ugly" inside they really are.

I believe an ugly soul under a beautiful exterior would be harder detect. The reason being , that person has put alot of effort into hiding who they were, they'd make sure they had you good and fooled before letting it ooz out.
On the other hand an ugly exterior with a beautiful soul would be easy to see.The actions, the words, the looks of caring etc,would be a definite give away.

An ugly soul beneath a beautiful exterior would be harder to detect. The person would have reason to try and actively conceal their inner self and rely on good looks as a smoke screen.

a beautiful soul beneath ugly exterior would usually be ignored. i mean, before you can detect, you'll be sick of the exterior and would avoid that person....
while a beautiful exterior with ugly soul, will make us want to stay with him or her... at least long enough until we knew its ugly soul!

I guess it's a tie. It also depends on who you are and how you behave. Like: " I saw Emma doing so and so ", someone can say: " Yes. Emma is- " and they go on insulting her. Someone else may think of that mistake as if she didn't mean to do it, they just have a good intention. So, it always depends on who you are because you get the answer when you ask.
