3(2+3x)=7(1+x)
Distribute the 3 and 7
3(2)+3(3x)= 7(1)+7(x)
6+9x =7 + 7x
Get x's on 1 side and numbers on the other
6+9x = 7 + 7x
-6 -7x -6 -7x
2x = 1
Divide both sides by 2
x = 1/2

3(2+3x)=7(1+x)
6+9x=7+7x
2x=1
x=1/2

checking the math
3(2+3(1/2))=7(1+1/2)
3(4/2+3/2)=7(3/2)
3(7/2)=7(3/2)
21/2=21/2 yes it checks

3(2+3x)=7(1+x)
open the bracket
6+9x=7+7x
then move all x to the left side and all numbers to the right hand side
9x-7x=7-6
2x=1
x=1/2
