How to obtain a gun in illinois..how do i get a FOID card... what are all the hoops one has to jump through?

There has to be a website with all the rules and steps you have to go through. What would disqualify someone?

Go to Illinois State Police website. There is a form to apply for the foid card there. All you have to do is fill out the form and provide a picture of yourself. You can also get the form from DMV facilities or businesses that sell guns. The picture has to be small like a drivers license or passport picture. Not sure what the fees are.
