Randy Moss may have been a good receiver once upon a time, but you're right. Being trading to New England isn't going to suddenly make him great again. New England will be a force this year, but keep in mind that they signed a LOT of free agents. It's not the tallent of the players on the team, it's how they PLAY as a team. And I can't wait to see the rematch between the Patriots and the Chargers on September 16th! Possibly a preview of the AFC Championship game.......
PS: Nothing funnier last year than when the Raiders came to San Diego, and listening to all the Raider fans booing and heckling Randy Moss. "You feel like playing today Randy?" was all you heard from angry Raider fans!

Well, I'd argue that attitude does change somewhat with a new environment. With Minnesota, he was as happy as a lark most of the time because his team was winning a lot. Granted he did some dumb things even back then, but he was a lot happier than when he was in Oakland, and now he has arguably the best QB in the league throwing him the ball in an aggressive offense and on a winning team full of winners on both sides of the ball. Tom Brady throws a beautiful deep ball which is Moss's game, and if they gel this off-season and avoid injury (knock on wood) they could put up some big numbers this year. Anywhere else I'd say he's a big headache and not worth the trouble, but New England could be the place for him.

Other than his first few years in Minnesota when he played with C. Carter, Moss has not been around players with the respect for the game needed to become a consistant winner. Or players that can keep him in line when his childishness seems to take over. Now in New England he will be playing with an assortment of players and coaches with the drive, maturity, experience, and respect for the game it takes to win championships. New England has the likes of Tom Brady, Junior Seau, and Tedy Bruschi and many others which are well respected around the league, have won superbowls, and can also play some pretty good football. Then to top it off there is coach Bill Belichick, quite possibly the best coach in professional football at this time. Put it all together and you have the premier program in the leaque right now along with an owner who is also a winner.

But you miss the point...Talent just doesn't vanish. The guy has hands and is probably still pretty fast. Tom Brady FINALLY has receivers that are considered weapons (Donte Stallworth and Randy Moss)...that's what the big deal is. It has nothing to really do with Moss...It's still all about Brady as far as I'm concerned. And in New England, a bad attitude will get you a plane ticket out...Randy Moss will be fine. Remember, people said Keyshawn Johnson in Carolina was a bad idea because he'd whine and pout or whatever, he didn't...People can change, and Randy Moss will change for the better.

He does have a bad work ethic, I will give you that. But do you really think that the fact that his numbers are down is his fault? He has been on the Oakland Raiders, the worst team in the NFL, a team with no QB, and you are blaming him for his dismal numbers? Come on. I think that Randy Moss still has alot left in the tank. He is not way past his prime, he just has not had something to work for, but now he does. He wants to win a Superbowl, badly. I think he is going to have one of the best years of his career, don't forget that this is the first time he has gotten to play under a probowl QB.

Randy Moss, in his first 3 or 4 seasons, was as good as any wide receiver who as ever played the game... and this is from a Niners fan who thinks Jerry Rice is the greatest football player ever at any position. He got tired of losing and being on bad teams, and he's taken the last couple years off. I'm not saying that's an excuse, but being with the Patriots and playing with the best QB he's ever had will rejuvenate him, and I believe we could see the Randy Moss of old, at least for another season or two.

Randy Moss can be destructive and self-serving, but he can also be a big target with good hands. NE, already a good team, signed several wide receivers in the off-season and won't be as dependent on Moss as teams have been in the past. The leaders on the team and Belichek will be able to handle him better then the loathsome Raiders. And, if he wants to be, Randy Moss can still be effective as a vertical and red zone threat.

Well there are a couple things that are making this trade such a hot topic. First of all he was traded for a 4th round draft pick which is pretty much Oakland giving him away! To give up a WR like Randy Moss (who regardless of his antics is one of the top 5 WR in the league) is a making a pretty harsh statement, either no one else wanted to trade anything better for him or (my choice) once again Al Davis (Oakland’s crazy owner) just made a last min crazy choice! Putting one of the most talented WR's in the game with one of the most talented QB's to ever play is worth talking about on its own. But I think one of the most interesting things about this trade is the Bill Belichick/New England factor. People don't act a fool once they get to NE, not just because of Belichick but the entire team is all about business not BS!

All attitude aside, the man is still a deep threat on a team that is already stacked. What we as fans need to understand is players over 35 are becoming more common in professional sports. With the modernization of sports medicine you will begin to see players who were once considered senior citizens still making an impact.
Rany Moss is one of those guys that can change a game in hurry. Tim Brown and Jerry Rice were that way up until the day they left the game. I suspect T.O. will like that.

Easy question with an easy answer: as an opposing team, their defense still has prepare for Randy Moss. You cannot ignore him or he (and Brady) will burn you with a big play. Patriots fans should feel good having Moss on their team this year.
