x^2-1x-90 /x+9
x^2-90/9 since -x and x cancel out

Hi,

Factor the numerator.

x² -x - 90
------------ =
x + 9

(x - 10)(x + 9)
------------------ =
x + 9

Cancel out the x + 9 factor to get x - 10 as your answer.
