A micrometer calliper is more accurate than a vernier calliper, but the range of measurement of a micrometer is much less.

Maybe the Vernier Caliper measurements are off a little, and hence there maybe a systematic uncertainty in the measurements?
You would need some way of checking to see that the millimetres are actually millimetres, and if not, allow for this in your calculations

You can measure to a degree of accuracy unattainable with any other measuring device or scale.

reward : it could degree the size of products for which the it ought to be measured accurately. hazards : won't be able to degree diameter of a skinny twine and stuff like that(we use screw gauge)
