Please don't answer "study"/"attend lectures"/"go to your tutorial"/"group study"/"review notes daily"/"this is impossible". I am looking for strategies to succeed, what worked for you? (Yes, everyone learns differently, I know..just want to see other people's opinions)

Pay off the TA's since they are the ones that make up all the HW, quizzes and some of the tests. But they also the ones that grade all of that stuff. The professor only looks at the tests if one of the TA's have a question on how to grade it.

Ok, maybe paying off the TA is a little extreme but I see people kissing up to all the TA's, buying them lunch or beer, etc and they seem to get A's in the class without much studying or work.

There is this story about a beautiful young coed who goes to her professor's office. She looks at him seductively and flutters her eye lashes at him and says "Professor, I will do ANYTHING to get an A in this class." He looks back at her and says "Great -- do the work!"

Do the work!

There is only one strategy -- and it involves attending classes and studying. It also involves asking questions when you don't know something and offering answers when you do.

I know this isn't the answer you want -- but it is the answer. Here is something you might find useful, though -- don't put off your studying. Keep up with the material. For material that you are supposed to read before a lecture, go back over it after the lecture & make sure you understand it. When you are in class -- pay attention.

It is that easy.

My method of studying is to do problems a lot to help reaffirm concepts and formulas learned in lecture. Also, a little side researching of concepts learned in lecture will help if the professor/TA or source material does not seem clear.

First of all, you have to have talent in these areas, and then you have to study hard.
