thier two album titled The Beatles,which we dubbed the 'white album',he told me that he had that album and it said The White Album on the front cover,I told him he was crazy.who is right and who is wrong?

Nope, none of them say "the white album"--I guarantee it. Most versions have "The Beatles" on the front in gray text, and some have the number 084994 stamped underneath that. But The Beatles didn't begin to call it the White Album until the rest of the world did--there's no way they could (or would) have had that put on the cover of it.

Never said "The White Album". Just "The Beatles". The public/media came to call the White album.

The album was called the Beatles...No where on the cover did it say the white album.

As I recall, when it first came out, it was just a white cover; however, it's possible your friend got maybe an earlier release that had that name on it, of a later release with the name..hard to say!!!
