Do not use pressure washer, high pressure air, or a hose! You will ruin the mesh/filter.

DO NOT use Carb cleaner!!!! go buy the K/N recharging kit. you can find it at most parts stores. Also if you decide to use carb cleaner or gas, kiss your investment in that rechargeable air cleaner goodbye. Ive used a K/n on my motorcycle and cars for years . I was stupid early on and didn't head the directions once, I ruined that 75.00 filter. don't be cheap and negate the recharge kit, look you all ready bought that expensive filter ,maintain it properly.

Follow Peter Griffin's advice.
K&N made the filter.
They know the correct way to clean their own filters.
Do not use carb cleaner or any toxic fluids like contact/brake cleaner, gasoline, kerosine, etc.
They will destroy the paper element.
At the very least, just use compressed air and blow through the air cleaner with a blow gun.

buy the cleaning kit, its like $10.00 you have to spray the cleaner in it let it sit about 5 min the rinse with water from inside out and let it dry about 2 hours or so then re-oil with the oiling spray.
