There's a saying "if someone spits on the runway, they delay all flights for 2 hours".

Well, I've flown out of O'hare a lot... and I rarely get delayed. Maybe it's just luck, but i don't know..
Fly when the weather is good.. and everything will be fine.

They can be. And its getting from one area to another departure that takes time.

They can be. Never do less than an hour layover there too.
