Asking questions about your health and concerns are what you are paying him for. However, you made the statement "overload him with questions that don't matter." So it would be best to stick to the ones that do matter. Talking about everything and anything is distracting, and you could cause him to not pay enough attention to the problem/s you are having. I have a wonderful doctor. He asks me questions about my job and other chit chat, and I take the que from him if he is asking things that do not pertain to my health problems. To me that tells me he is not in a hurry that day.

ask away and he will answer.. make a list and put the top priority ones at the top so you will get those answered first then go down the list....there might even be a hot line that you can call if it is not a super important question if you don't get through all your questions with your doctor or maybe talk to a nurse after your appointment....good luck on your appointment today hope all goes well

If you have questions, please ask them. That's what they are there for to provide you healthy safe answers. No question is dumb to a doctor, because i'm pretty sure you want to know what is normal, and what isn't. My doctor wants me to tell her how i'm feeling and ask questions. That way you're not worried about things and won't have to go every week for every little problem you have. Good Luck

it is DEFINITELY okay. That's part of the doctors job- to answer questions and I'm sure he's used to it. Plus, I know from experience, it's much better to just ask than leave still worrying about it. You also may want to write them down in case you forget when you're there.

YES! Ask your doctor about anything having to do with today's appt. It is important to clearly understand your doctor, and for your doctor to understand YOUR feelings and worries, as well. If the doctor says something to you that you do not understand, ask the dr. to explain it more clearly to you.

SWEETHEART...............You can ask him as many questions as you want. As a matter of fact, make a list, sometime during the exam, you let him know that you have questions, can you and him/her sit down for a minute. If he/she blows you off or rushes through them.........start thinking about a new Doctor..LATER

You should be able to ask your doctor about anything that is worrying you. He is there to ease your fears about your health concerns. So, ask him anything you want to. You can even make a list of questions to ask from so you won't forget anything you want to bring up.

Ask away. It is your doctor's job to health you with your health questions. Just a tip, write them all down so you don't forget any of them.
