great question, that I didnt understand the answer to until I study the solutions. Dobbers, what agreat observe for them. I cooloect marbles & i'm no longer being a great head when I say i've got have been given a good 30 dobbers. No surprize that my dobbers are far greater scuffed than my typical marbles, they do get a battering whilst utilized in a pastime.

Where I lived (Salford) they were called 'dobbers' - or was that all marbles? I'm old and I forget! :-(
I'll stick with 'dobbers'!
Marbles were 'allies'. Thank you september_maid7!!
Must be 'dobbers' then - lol!!!
