All Jap bikes use 32:1
Don't use 2 stroke junk you get from gas stations, boat shops, auto parts and hardware stores.
Use quality brand name 2 cycle oil made for motorcycles.
The other junk will load up the engine, clog the silencer, foul the spark plug.
32:1 = 32 parts gas to one part oil
There are 178 ounces in a gallon.
178 divided by 32 = 5.5
5.5 ounces of oil to 1 gallon of gas
Better yet, get a "ratio rite" cup.
It does the measuring for you, depending on how many gallons of gas you're using and the ratio you want to mix it at.
Every owner of a 2 stroke uses them.

buy motul 600 or 800... mix it at 40 to 1 to start with, which will be too rich probably. then watch tour exhaust and see if it spooges, which is greasy black crap out the bottom of the silencer. if you got it try 44 to 1, etc. DO NOT stick with 32:1. this is ok with CRAPPY oil from the gas station but you shouldnt use that anyway. i have been racing a yamaha yz 250 for seven years now and with motul800 and race gas we get up over 50:1, but start at 40 and see...

For future reference, always give year, make, engine size and model # when asking questions. We need all of that info to give an informed answer. Sometimes the year can make a difference. I just went to the Kawasaki web site and they recommend 32:1

you need to read the manual and it will tell you what the oil gas mix is
