He did win 2 super bowls with the Giants, brought the patriots there, and made the jets and cowboys winning teams.

Bill Parcells was great for the Giants and the "Super" team that they had, he didn't do anything for the Cowboys but put them behind a few years. Brining in guys like Testitverte and Bledsoe. Oh and how can I forget him getting rid of Emmit Smith and bringing in Eddie George. Bill Parcells like likes BIG running backs, so what does he do? Pass on Steven Jackson and take Jones, a small running back. His philosophies do not work with today's players. He put so many restrictions on Sean Payton. Look what the guy did in New Orleans.

bill Parcels. i'm a pats fan yet i'm ill of the "genius of belichick." Belichick became right into a crappy HC until eventually he have been given to the Pats. Ask a browns fan approximately bill Belichick. look at Tuna, success with extra advantageous than a million group, and finally a far extra useful choose of expertise and extra useful at "procuring the groceries and making the meal" there is not any previous top for a head coach. they arent on the sphere enjoying soccer.

He certainly deserves to be in the Hall of Fame for all the amazing things he did, but I think the other Bill, Bill Belichek one upped him as far as coaching goes...three Super Bowls in 5 years and he's not done yet...and you can't forget the massive contributions made by Vince Lombardi (West Coast Offesne anyone?). Yes the Big Tuna changed the way the NFL works and did a lot of amazing things, but I don't think he's the best thing ever to happen to coaching, though he certainly is ONE of the best.

As a coach, Parcells gets the best out of his players through intimidation. Off-the-field trouble is basically unheard of on a Parcells team. And even the most mediocre of talent he manages to get them to play like All-Pros. Its also a given that his team will commit very low penalties in a game. You cannot say that to many other NFL head coaches today. Football is a tough sport, and Parcells fits that mold.
(And please don't say "he's nothing without Bill Belichick," as it has no relevance with this question being asked.)

No Way. Id have to say Vince Lombardi. Theres a reason everyone plays for the trophy named after him. 5 Titles in 7 years with a team he took over that won 1 game the year before his arrival. That is coaching.

The Greatest thing? NO. Was he a GREAT COACH? Yes.
Hey John you hear of LT(the REAL one)? Yeah he played for Parcells and the G-Men. It WASN'T unheard of. Parcells didn't care he just wanted his players to show up Sunday and what they did when they weren't on the field wasn't really his problem to him as I understand it.
Number of AFC Central Division Titles for Bill "Overrated" Belichick(the so called Genius) =0
Number of Superbowls for the Browns under the "genius"=0
Any questions?
