I saw a bunch of times that people (mostly women) shows great passion for Bloomingdale's in the movies and drama, like in "Friends". They treat it like some sort of icon, or fashion bible, like a "cult". And I've also heard that Queen Elizabeth II went there for shopping during her visit in New York in the 1970s. Now my question is that why women prefer Bloomingdale's to other up-scaling departments? I mean there are plent of reputed high-end stores in New York, like Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdolf Goodman, Barney's, or Neiman Marcus, etc. So Why is Bloomingdale's different? Are there any anecdotes in the legend of New York City?

Bloomingdale's may be mentioned a lot in the movies or t.v. shows because they singled out that store. That store is no better than any of the other high end stores.

It's an all american original!! It's a giant department store in NYC, like the mother of all department stores. There's so much stuff...it's almost magical...jk but it's really cool.
