Rights will not exist without a willingness to enforce them. Get rid of your liberals over there and put into effect a Second Amendment like we have over here.

It would be nice if we could, but I don't think there is any law regulating our safety to walk at night in our towns. England is not a Nation in Jeopardy, what you are talking about happens so infrequently and certainly no more than it did. I can walk perfectly safely in my town at anytime night or day without any fear of being mugged or hurt. It does not matter what city in the world you go to you have to use commonsense and caution regarding where you walk at night. The law doesn't protect us, it is the police who do that, and I think on the whole they do a great job.

yes it infringes on the quality of a persons life. Having To worry about going out and being attacked I was like that in London sometimes in certain areas. I moved out of London and it is really nice to be able to go out what ever time and not worry.

The law and the government! Use your vote, petition the government and local authority for better legislation, you probably won't do, and that is why the countries laws are a mess! It is called voter apathy!

The last time I read Leviathon, security is the first obligation of government. Isn't that why you give up some of your rights?

Hell, Chap, it is your government. You need to do something about it.

"right"?

Yes they have the right to be on public property during the day or night (assuming there isn't a curfew in place).

The "right" to be safe? I don't know that anyone can legislate safety "rights"....expectations maybe....
